Trim Levels

Select from the no-compromise base LS, the sporty 1RS, the LS with a clean design and many creature comforts, the 2RS with even more comfort and convenience and the top-of-the-line muscular ACTIV. Every model comes with Chevy Safety Assist, wireless smartphone compatibility, active noise cancellation and 17-inch steel wheels. Sporty, Efficient Powertrain

No matter which trim you choose, your Trax comes with a 1.2-liter three-cylinder engine producing 137 horsepower and 162 pound-feet of torque. This engine gives owners outstanding gas mileage with an EPA-estimated 28/32 mpg in the city/highway. Front-wheel drive is standard, as is a six-speed automatic transmission. It has a sporty suspension that smoothly handles quick turns and winding roads. In many respects, the Trax handles like a small sedan, making it fun to drive.

Roomy Interior

Buyers may be surprised at how roomy this little SUV is. Five passengers fit comfortably in two rows; the back row has best-in-class legroom. The front seats are comfortable on long drives. These two characteristics make the Trax a family friendly vehicle. Another outstanding feature is its cargo room. Owners will get up to 54.1 cubic feet with the 60/40 back seats folded. That's nearly six more cubic feet than the previous Trax generation. The driver's position is low and car-like, and the seats are very supportive. The Trax gives owners a tech-forward design, with standard wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ integration and standard MyChevrolet app features for three years, accessing remote functions and diagnostic resources. An 8.0-inch touchscreen is standard, with an option to upgrade to an 11-inch central screen. A digital gauge cluster is also available. Options also include wireless smartphone charging and a Wi-Fi hotspot.

Chevrolet also gives owners plenty of driver safety aids with its standard safety suite. Chevy Safety Assist includes forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, front pedestrian braking, lane-keeping assist with lane-departure warning, following distance indicator and intelligent high beam assist. Available safety aids include adaptive cruise control, lane-change alert with blind zone alert, rear cross-traffic alert and rear parking assist.
